Kristen Fraser AMHSW

Experienced and Compassionate Therapist

I am an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. After graduating in 2003, I have specialised in individual counselling and therapeutic group work programs.

 

I have undertaken additional training in a variety of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Relaxation, and Narrative Therapy.

 

I am passionate about supporting people through stress, depression, anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, and trauma. I have also assisted clients through developing skills around relationships, anger, communication, conflict resolution, and parenting.

 

Over the last 20 years, I have worked across a variety of sectors including not for profits, NDIS, and in the corporate sector providing Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling.

 

I see clients under the following programs:

Face to Face Counselling Newcastle

My counselling services are located within Hunter Clinical Services in Newcastle, NSW in purpose built counselling rooms to ensure your comfort and privacy. Free street parking is available.

Telehealth Counselling

I also offer Online Telehealth Counselling via video link.

Clinical Supervision

I provide Clinical Supervision for counselling Social Workers, early career Social Workers and Employee Assistance Program clinicians.
